Redondela é un concello da provincia de Pontevedra, pertencente á comarca de Vigo. O seu xentilicio é redondelán. Ten unha superficie de 52,1 km² e, segundo o IGE, a 1 de xaneiro de 2024 tiña 29.031 habitantes, dos cales 14.047 eran varóns e 14.984 eran mulleres, resultando unha densidade de poboación de 560,31 hab./km². É o cuarto concello máis poboado da provincia, por detrás de Vigo, Pontevedra e Vilagarcía de Arousa, e está situado entre as dúas primeiras, a 13 km de Vigo e a 20 km de Pontevedra.
