San Xoán de Moeche é unha parroquia que se localiza no oeste do concello de Moeche. Segundo o IGE en 2018 tiña 353 habitantes (190 mulleres e 163 homes) distribuídos en 21 entidades de poboación, o que supón un aumento en relación ao ano 1999 cando tiña 415 habitantes. Na xurisdición eclesiástica forma parte do arciprestado de Xuvia, pertencente á diocese de Mondoñedo-Ferrol.
