San Xoán de Seoane é unha parroquia situada no suroeste do concello de Allariz. Segundo o IGE, en 2015 tiña 100 habitantes (46 homes e 54 mulleres). O seu núcleo máis poboado é Pumares, con 35 habitantes. Limita coas parroquias allaricenses de San Trocado, San Martiño de Pazó, Allariz (Santiago) e Torneiros, e cos concellos de Rairiz de Veiga, A Bola e A Merca. Tradicionalmente a zona de Seoane é tamén coñecida como Terra do Millo e os habitantes como da mafúa ou mafueiros[Cómpre referencia].
