O Sobreiral do Arnego é unha área forestal no val do río Arnego formada principalmente por sobreiras (Quercus Suber), especie propia dun clima máis suave que logrou prosperar grazas ás condicións climatolóxicas que presenta este enclave. No curso do río Arnego e no val de Carmoega dáse un microclima específico con temperaturas mornas ao longo de todo o ano, que resulta ser un hábitat propicio para as sobreiras. É un espazo natural declarado Zona especial de conservación (ZEC) dentro da Rede Natura 2000.
