Island in Spain, 2.2 km from Celeiro.
A Illa de Area (Illa da Insua da Area) é un illote de Lugo situado en plena ría de Viveiro, municipio ao que pertence. Ten unha característica orografía intricada cuberta de verde e cun arboredo de vellos piñeiros e eucaliptos. No pasado era moi frecuentada por campistas, actividade hoxe prohibida. Chegou a estar habitada estacionalmente durante o verán (a pesar do seu reducido tamaño), por iso consérvanse aínda as ruínas dalgunhas casas. O illote despoboouse a mediados do século XX.
