O Salón Teatro é a sede do Centro Dramático Galego (CDG), a compañía pública de teatro de Galicia, e o escenario das súas producións. Ademais, acolle distintas disciplinas escénicas, como ciclos de cine ou danza. É o único espazo de exhibición escénica de titularidade exclusiva da Xunta de Galicia e supón un referente cultural para a cidade de Santiago de Compostela e a Comunidade Galega.
